Our Pack Meeting this month was a magic show that the boys presented for their families. We began the evening with a really fun gathering activity. The guests tried to get as many cards into a magic hat as they could from the furthest distance. Jalen won! Then the boys each presented a magic trick they had been practicing. Some siblings and leaders even joined in the fun and shared a trick or two. Then Brother Bills performed a fabulous magic act for us. We ended the evening by awarding Sam with two beads for progress towards his Bear badge. After the magic show we all helped the cookies magically disappear!

Litter to Glitter Pack Meeting
Our Cub Scouts had an exciting evening as we shared our month's accomplishments with our families. Our Scouts showed off their art work that they had created from recycled materials. The Wolves had designed birdhouses from milk cartons and the Bears and Webelos made paper mache masks.
We held an awards ceremony where we literally "spotlighted" our Shining Stars with flashlights. (We gave them each a pair of protective sunglasses first).
Then we divided into three teams and had a tower building contest using recycled cans.
After one team was declared the winner, we had a basketball toss game using recycled newspapers and wastebaskets. The evening ended with everyone making ice cream sundaes and helping to clean up our big mess!

Elder's Quorum and Cub Scouts Pick Up Trash
By Reporter Zackary W.
On March fifteenth the Cub Scouts and the Elder's Quorum went to Yadkinville Road to pick up trash. They were given doughnuts and orange juice for breakfast. Shirts, sticks, and gloves were provided. Then they set out to pick up the trash.
They split into teams and went to different sides of the road. The trash was put on the side of the road in orange bags for the garbage men to pick up. Two teams broke their sticks. Then they gave back the materials provided and went home.

Recycling Fun!
At Cub Scouts this week Pack 901 learned that recycling can be fun. For our gathering activity, all of the boys helped tear newspapers for the Bears and Webelos activity.
The Wolves spent the evening learning about people who make a positive impact on the environment, people who take care of our world.
The Bears and Webelos spent the evening making paper mache masks. It was a fun, but messy night!
We also chose Denners for each of the dens. The boys elected a cub scout to be the leader of their den for one month. The denner will come early to each meeting and help set up. They will also assist the Den Leaders and way they can.
On Saturday the boys were given the opportunity to help with road clean up. Our cubs are really trying to make a difference in their world.
